Is the process of:

Work Breakdown and Scheduling
Identify
- Identify all the tasks
- What order should they be completed in
- How long will they take
Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Duration of each task
- Status of each task
- What task needs to be done before starting each task
Output
- Gantt charts - this shows the WBS
- In a network diagram in the style of PERT and CPM
Staffing
- How many people
- Only people with skill sets that match project
- Motivate to meet objectives
- Minimum conflicts
- Must be reflected on the scheduling chart who's done what
Charts
PERT Chart (Program Evaluation and Review Technique)
- Network dyagram
- Shows schedule and sequence of tasks
- Shows what can be done in parallel
- Critical Paths - Tasks that must be completed to reach the deadline
CPM (Critical path method)
