- Order of questions (Top-Down or Bottom-Up)
- Prep for interview (Unstructured VS Structured)
- Conduct the interview
- Ask if you can follow-up
Joint Application Development (JAD)

Process:
- 10-20 people
- Scribe is included
- Can be electronic meeting thus annominous
- Planning is needed on what it is on, a brief is a good idea
- Ground rules are needed
- Idea is for people to debate the requirements
Questionaire
Types:
- Written questions
- Eather web or paper
Best for:
- Lots of people
- Quantitative and Quantitate info
Responce rates:
- < 50% paper based respond
- <30% web based respond
Process:
- Select people
- Design (make it obvious questions, test it)
- Handing it out (Offer a incentive (money), get a good response rate)
- Follow up

- Begin with easy non-threatening questions
- Group similar questions
- Most important not at end
- Not too many questions
- Avoid abriviations
- Avoid biases
- Number questions
- Pretest
- Allow for animosity
Document Analysis
Used to understand an exsisting system
Review of the technical documentation
Looking at i.e. forms and reports
Observation
- People may forget certain aspects in a interview
- People may behave differently when being observed
